Technical Features for EnGenius EPD-4824

The EnGenius EPD-4824 is designed to work with EnGenius ENS202, ENS202EXT, ENS500EXT, ENH500EXT, ENH202, and ENH500 Wireless Outdoor Access Points. The EPD-4824G PoE Converter features two Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps) ports; one port for connecting to an PoE Ethernet Switch and the other for connecting to a PoE-enabled device. The EPD-4824 converts its 48V 802.3af/at power source into 24V power output.

The Converter uses standard IEEE pin definition to power the device and comes with a 48V power supply. Pins 1, 2, and 3, 6 are used for data transmission while pins 4, 5, and 7, 8 are used for sending power to the device via center tap. The EPD-4824G PoE generates power over CAT6, Cat5, and Cat5e cabling of up to 300 feet.
